“The Time Machine” by H.G. Wells is another classic sci-fi story, and it tells of a scientist who invents a machine that can take him to the future. He travels to the year 802,701, where he finds that the world has been divided into two groups: the Eloi and the Morlocks.
Another great sci-fi short story is “The War of the Worlds” by H.G. Wells. The story tells of an invasion of Earth by aliens from Mars. The aliens are initially thought to be invincible, but they eventually succumb to Earth’s bacteria.
